Alas, have you encountered this situation? I wanted to buy an LED screen to install it in the store, but the salesperson said it was P2.5, P4, P10... and it was chaotic. What does the number followed by P mean? If you choose the big one, you are afraid of the rough scene, and if you choose the small one, you are afraid of the wallet being hurt. . Today we will break it apart and make it clear - how to choose the pixel spacing of the LED display so as not to get stuck!
Simply put, P1 means pixel spacing 1 mm , P2 is 2mm, and so on. For example, just like the pixel density of a mobile phone screen, the smaller the P value, the denser the light beads are arranged, the more delicate the picture is. For example, if you stare at the screen of P1.2, you can even count the hair of the character clearly. ; If it were replaced with a P10 screen, you could see that the picture was not blurred if it was ten meters away.
But don't rush to pursue the minimum P value! The fence screen installed by our company for Tokyo Stadium is P8. Why? Because the audience is far away! The P value must match the viewing distance:
Don't be fooled by sales! The price of P1.5 screen starts three times that of P3. We chose P2.5 for the transparent window screen we installed in Seoul mall. Why? Because when customers get close to look at the product, P2.5 can not only ensure clarity, but also save 40% of the budget compared to P1.8.
Last year, a customer bought a P1.8 rental screen cheaply, but he broke two boxes during the tour - he had to change the entire module when repairing it, and the maintenance fee was enough to buy half a new screen! The key point is here:
"The boss gives me the clearest! " ——As a result, I spent a lot of money to buy P1.2 and installed it in the 6-meter-high shopping mall atrium. The customers looked up and saw it.…
"It's going to be the same as the Apple store" ——Little do people know that people use transparent screens (the type of 86% transmissibility). It is better for ordinary merchants to buy two more regular screens than to spend this money.
"High parameters are definitely good" ——There is a restaurant owner who insists on a refresh rate of 1920Hz. In fact, if the human eye exceeds 1000Hz, it is a waste of money.
After working on the display screen for more than ten years, I found a strange phenomenon: Many people compare P value as mobile phone running scores, but this is not the case at all. ! The P4 curved screen we installed in Singapore was specially requested to be reduced to P5 - why? Because the arc structure itself will enhance the visual delicateness!
Now some manufacturers are pushing super small P values, asking me to say that this is manufacturing demand. Like the front desk signs of supermarkets, P3 is completely enough, and it is purely an IQ tax that must be paid if you have to pay P1.8. Remember this sentence: The one that suits is professional , use a tape measure to measure the viewing distance before selecting the screen next time, so as to ensure that you can save 30% of your budget!
