Last week, a friend made a joke - he spent 2,000 yuan to hire someone to repair the dark corners of the screen, but the technician just opened the bottom cover and wiped away the dust. Today we will dismantle this industry secret of "darkness under the light".

​Let’s talk about some trivia first​ ​: The LED light at the bottom of the display screen is actually a mobile sentinel, and their position will play "Metamorphosis" according to the screen type. Master these three judgment rules, and you can be a maintenance master next time.

The first law: Guess the layout of the light array based on the thickness of the screen

​Why are the lights at the bottom of ultra-thin displays more subtle? ​

  • ​Side-lit backlight​ ​(Thickness <3cm): The lamp beads are hidden in the left and right borders of the screen, and the light is "transported" to the bottom area through the light guide plate. This design is commonly seen on poster screens in supermarkets. There is actually a 15-20cm gap between the light array and the bottom.
