Where should the LED display axial flow fan be installed?

Engineers who have just entered the industry must have encountered such crazy moments - the display screen is as hot as teppanyaki after half an hour of running. When they opened the box, they saw that the axial flow fan was installed in the sealed chamber and blowing hard towards the circuit board. Today, let’s talk about this seemingly simple but hidden mystery of installation knowledge, which will ensure that you can avoid detours for three years.

​Position determines life and death

Axial flow fan is not just about finding a space to stuff it in. Last year, a shopping mall frequently crashed in large screens. When the disassembly, it was found that the fan was installed directly above the power module, and the hot air was circulating and heating on the capacitor. Remember these three golden points:

Direction is more important than effort

Don't laugh! There are really cases where someone installs a blower against it. The screen at a concert was smoking. When I opened it and found that the fan impeller turned inward, pumping external hot air into the box. Here is a shorthand mantra: "Eat the wind on the convex side, and exhale the wind on the concave side". The most intuitive thing to try with a lighter - ignite the flame and place it in the air inlet. When the flame is sucked in, it means the direction is correct.

​Installation three methods​:

  • The back of the hand is attached to the air outlet, and the heat flow is continuous
  • Use A4 paper to get close to the air inlet, so the paper can be absorbed

Maintenance is more important than installation

Q: How to prevent rust in humid environments?
