Do newbies who are new to LED large screens often go crazy? Where is the switch of this thing hidden? Last week, I saw the mall manager pressing the remote control on the newly installed large screen, and the fire alarm sounded... Today we will look at this bald problem, and you will definitely be more professional than the installer after reading it!

1.Three major stealth techniques for switches​

Don’t rush to scold designers for being anti-human. The switch design of LED large screens actually has hidden secrets:

1. ​​Discovery on the remote control​：
   That button marked "Power" may not be a switch at all!
   The real master key is often hidden in the third-level page in the menu
   ​​The key is to see if there are any function keys with lock icon​​

2. ​​Hide and seek in the control box​：
   There may be 5 red buttons in the distribution box, but only the third one is true
   Find a circuit breaker marked "MAIN" (usually hidden in a transparent dust cover)
   Don’t force pry a box with a fingerprint lock!

3. ​​The secret door of the software system​：
   Some high-end screens do not have physical switches at all
   You have to log in to control the background (the URL is usually 192.168.1.1)
   Find the "Hardware Hibernation" option in system settings

II.​Switch map for different scenarios​​

Let's disassemble it according to the usage scenario, so that you can become an old driver in seconds:

▍​​Mall Advertising Screen​
• Control room location: usually hidden on the back of a fire passage or elevator shaft
• Operation process:

1. Use a magnetic card to open a gray iron cabinet
2. Turn the blue master knob (power is only counted when you hear the "click" sound)
3. Wait for 30 seconds to complete the startup and press the play button

▍​Stage performance screen​
• Hide mechanism: 9 maintenance port installed under the stage floor
• Emergency Plan:
→ Check the DMX signal cable first if the screen suddenly becomes black (don't touch the power supply!)
→ Find the emergency restart button with green fluorescent bar

▍​Conference room splicing screen​
• Anti-human design is a severely affected area! There are three common situations:
① Each unit has an independent switch (it must be started in a specific order)
② The main control switch is on the projector bracket
③ You need to hold down the "Menu+Confirm key" at the same time for 5 seconds

III.Self-test flow diagram​

Don’t panic when you can’t turn on the computer. Follow this step to check:

1. ​​ Check the power supply (60% of the problems are here)​
   → Touch whether the distribution box shell is hot (the power must be cut off immediately after exceeding 40℃)
   → Use the electric pen to confirm that the socket is powered (don’t believe the indicator light!)
   → Check whether the voltage is stable (the fluctuation exceeds 10% will trigger protection)

2. ​​Signal links​
   Focus on these three interfaces:
   • Is there any oxidation of the HDMI cable connector?
   • Is the crystal head of the network cable tight?
   • Whether the dust cover of the fiber optic interface is removed

3. ​Check protection device​
   These places are easiest to trip:

   • Overload protector (usually marked OLP)
   • Lightning protection module (power will be automatically cut off on thunderstorms)
   • Temperature sensor (the heat dissipation port is blocked and the power will be shut down)

IV.The secrets that designers won't tell you​

The old master who has worked in the project for ten years whispered to me:
"The new LED screen now does not require physical switches at all!"
• Smart models support voice-controlled wake-up (applause or whistle at specific frequencies)
• After some models are connected to the Internet of Things, the switch permissions are controlled in the cloud
• The screens of some landmark buildings cannot be manually closed at all (the government has remote control)

Last month, a bar owner couldn't find the switch, but later found that the screen was connected to a smart meter - it had to be operated in the Power Supply Bureau APP! This tells us:​Not able to find the switch may not be that you are stupid, but that technology is developing too fast​！
