Brothers who are new to LED screen debugging may have been confused - which options should be moved in this dense parameter menu? There was a joke in a stadium project last year. The engineer adjusted the refresh rate to 3000Hz. As a result, the camera showed all black bars, and the game live broadcast almost overturned. Today we will break it apart and crush it into pieces. I’m sure you can start operating it after reading it.
To be honest, I was dazzled the first time I saw the control software. In fact, the key points are three interfaces:
Sending card settings page
Hidden here is the vitality of refresh rate and grayscale. It is recommended to set 1920Hz+16bit grayscale for outdoor screens , which can prevent stroboscopic effects and ensure color transition. I have seen some people reduce the grayscale to 20bit, but the result is that the 4K content cannot be transferred to PPT.
Receiving card configuration area
Herein lies the mystery of scanning types. There is a big difference between PWM scanning and constant current scanning. Choose the former for indoor flexible screens, and the latter for outdoor fixed screens. . Last year, the poster screen in a shopping mall flashed and blinded people's eyes, because the scanning type was selected incorrectly.
Power management module
The brightness compensation curve needs to be fine-tuned here. It is recommended to do a 9-point calibration : Stepwise test from 10% to 100% brightness. Don’t trust those automatic calibration functions. Nine times out of ten, it will be overexposed.
Debugging parameters is like mixing Chinese medicine, mismatching will cause big trouble. Remember these death combinations:
| Wrong combination | as a result of | Correct solution |
|---|---|---|
| High refresh rate + low grayscale | Color fragmentation + soaring power consumption | Starting from 1920Hz+16bit |
| Wide color gamut + normal power supply | Color distortion + voltage instability | Used with voltage stabilizing module |
| Auto brightness + low ambient light | Complaints about excessive lighting at night | Set upper and lower brightness thresholds |
Special reminder: Never change the gamma value from the factory settings ! Some Erduidao like to adjust this to "make the colors more vivid". As a result, red turns into orange, green turns into fluorescent green, and the whole screen looks like it's been poisoned.
I just helped a customer adjust a stadium fence screen last week, and I would like to share my tips:
Don't try to adjust the color saturation as soon as you get started like some newbies do. It's no different from trying to run before you learn to walk. The worst case I have ever seen is that after adjusting the parameters, the heat generated by the screen doubled, and the power supply burned out within two months.
Q: How important is parameter backup?
A: Let’s put it this way. Last year, an engineer upgraded the system without backing up, and as a result, all parameters were lost. It took three days to reset and it didn't recover, so in the end I had to return the whole screen to the factory. It is recommended to export two backup copies before each parameter adjustment. , save one copy each in U disk and cloud disk
Q: How to quickly troubleshoot when encountering a broken screen?
A: Check in this order:
Editor's opinion: Adjusting parameters is like adding salt to stir-fry, if you shake your hands, everything will be lost. It's better to spend an extra two hours doing testing than make adjustments based on your feelings. After all, a screen can cost hundreds of thousands, and it is no joke to have it broken. Do you think this is true?
